I am working as Project Manager and need some assistance about start up costs and what kind of equipment I need to purchase at the beginning. I have some years working with Call Centers but never started one.
I also would like to know your opinion about what kind of companies are more willing to outsource their businesses to contact them first, this is important to know since at the beginning we will probably start as a very small company and then start growing.

If you are starting fresh : some points to work on:
1) Get your business lined up and ensure you have source for business before you start
2) The initial cost of setting up a call center is rather high if you purchase the dialler and software. You may want to consider setting up using a Hosted Virtual solution and using VoIP , it will save you a lot of money initially. And your running costs could be as low as $1 per hour .
