Does anyone know how to import segment data (from an external sourece – possible a speadsheet) into a segment worksheet?
Yes.
Series 5 and 6 allow the segements to be imported through a CSV (comma seperated values) text file.
Currently our office allows the agents to enter their segments using an intranet form which then stores them in an access databse.
Several times a day we then export (one-click) the segments to a text file then import them into Series 5.
The whole process takes about 5 minutes to import and save about 400 segments.
All that is required is all users have a browser and the web server used is set up to run active server pages.
Just setup a macro in excel to export data in CSV format and then import directly in series 5.
