Hello Everyone,
I am currently working with several partners in the US to write a business plan that includes the construction of a call center.
I have researched online, and so far this site has been the most informative. Thanks for all the contributions everyone!
I need to know who to contact or where to look for information on componets needed to construct a call center. As of right now we are looking at no more than 25 seats at a location somewhere in the USA. Construction will not include cost of building usage. I’m more interested in hardwear and software needed for inital startup.
I have looked into the possibilities of outsoursing the work, however my partners are insistent on information on the actual construction of the call center.
Any information or direction would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Much,
K Hickey

neelchakra26th June 2002 at 22:59 #13288K HickeyGuestNeel,
I am looking to open a center that will be taking inbound calls for an e-learning company. As stated above, there will be about 25 seats in the beginning, with the option to expand.
Hope this helps, if not let me know.

27th June 2002 at 09:02 #13289ManojGuestNeel, if you read above you will find that Hickey requires estimates only for hardwrae and software and not for internals/furniture/premises etc.

ACD is used for inbound operation.
cost of communication lines will depened on location and call center model of your choice.
Salary are competetitive and again depends where you want to start call center.
Training of agents varies from 10k to 20k per agent for full course.
