rahul3rd July 2002 at 09:09 #12424Vidya SharmaGuestHi Rahul,
I can understand what u are going through, but let me tell u that u have choosen the industry that promises $28 bullion in the next few years. To give you a total inside fo call centers, I will suggest you to read web sites. There are many oppertunities in this industry and growth is in favour for the hardworking people. The growth is fast and u can see success if u have the ability to talk and perform well.
Most of the call centers follow the American work culture and I am sure u will be a better person in terms of keeping deadlines, learn time is money….May be its worth giving it a try after all…

rahul5th July 2002 at 09:03 #12426Vidya SharmaGuestHi Rahul,
Good to know that you are well equiped with all those skills. However, I feel that u are best suited for a technical support nad remote repairs kind of job. I suggest u look out for call centers that have technical support as their main service, companies like Dell should be your first choice.
In regards to learning, the call centers that hire you will take care of it.
good luck!

mother tongue influence
if u r really intrested u can learn american accent2nd August 2002 at 08:36 #12428Vidya SharmaGuestHi Roger,
I am glad to know that is what dell says to its people.
however i think its necessary to nuteralize the accent first… just as u said,… After u have a nuteral accent only then can u learn American/UK/Australian accents.Vidya
