bandwidth requirement

    Hi

    If iam planning to start an outbound call centre in india lets say with 10 agents making calls to us

    can anybody help me with the bandwidth requirement.

    Hi Daniel,

    I have an Excel spreadsheet, developed by Quintum, that is very useful for calculating voice bandwidth. Unfortunately, the forum does not allow me to post an URL link 🙁

    Also I might recomend turning VAD off, as it will decrease the quality of your calls. Most of the customers calling to your call centre won’t appreciate it.

    Hi, It depends on the carrier who provides minutes to you. Approx 164 kbps required for most of the carriers.

    Approximately 160 kbps bandwidth is you need to make 10 concurrent calls but with G.723 Codec. Higher codecs gives better performance in clarity and quality, but also requires you higher bandwidth, it requires 800Kbps bandwidth with G.711…
