    Hi,

The requirement is to extend the extensions of EPABX to two different locations. I have deployed a solution, using Quintum A800 (3 boxes) and I have used IP port mapping. Each location is 7 Kms from one another and OFC is been used to interconnect the three location.

The system has been working perfectly for 3 years. Since a week, I have been experiencing certain problems.

    1. Intermittent Echo on the line
    2. I can hear ringing, but the call does not connect.

Any clue what might be wrong.

    Thanks in Advance

    Raghunath,

    1. Echo could be caused from the quintum if the gains have been set too high. If that is not it, then is the PBX a digital one? It could be a misconfigured hybrid within the PBX.

    2. Check quintum to see if progress tone is disabled. If it is enabled, disable it.
