I am on the market to buy a voice over ip service, I looked out there and Lingo seems to have the best deal on the market with unlimited calls to us, canada and western europe.
Can anyone tell me how lingo quality is? or any other recommendations.

Packet eight,you will pay around $20 for unlimited calls to US and Canada too.
I use when I am traveling overseas, and it pays itself just one call back home.
For those pesky hotels that you need to login into a WEB page before you access the internet, I installed a second NIC card to my laptop. I plug the packet eight adapter in one NIC and go to the Net via the other.
It works perfect most times even when I get to the NET via WIFI.
