Hi, anyone knows how AXT boxes alllocate bandwidth for each voip channel in each direction when using G.723, calls are between CMS and AXT and packet saver enabled?
In case of early versions of tenor, it would allocate 12.6 kbps in any situation but in case of AXT, I could hardly calculate it as I found different values are allocated for an specific number of calls and looks like bandwidth is allocated dynamically, may be considering silence supervision.
Any comment?
Thanks
In all Tenors the bandwidth is allocated dynamically. Never is it allocated per port. It is generally around 12 to 15kb (for G.723) per call per direction. Silence suppression is on by default so that is why the values may change. If you are using Packetsaver, then the more calls you have active between 2 Tenors, the more bandwidth you will save.
