about Quintum compatibility

    i heard that Quintum CMS240/960 can’t compatible with vocaltec,cisco and so on. is it true? what is the reason? is it voip protocol problem?

    Zetes,

    Not sure where you heard this from, but it is not true. All Quintum units are fully H.323 and many are SIP compatible and should work with any other units that are also compliant.

    Are you sure ?
    our business partner told me their company’s problem: the ASR is less than 30 if Quintum CMS240/960 as inbound and cisco as oubound,The ASR is almost 0 if Quintum CMS240/960 as inbound and vocaltec as outbound, vice versa.

    it looks not like protocol problem.

    any other suggestion???

    I have under my back not less than 400 installations, configurations and troubleshooted Quintum boxes.

    Never met such a problem 🙂

    Quintum works perfectly with Cisco, GnuGK, MERA and other softswitches.
    With Vocaltec… Well, all kind of equipment has problems with Vocaltec. And the reason of course is in Vocaltec, nowhere else 🙂
    issue with vocaltec may raise if you try registering their gateways to another gatekeeper.

    A suggestions: change your partner 🙂
