AOA,
I am a starter, how a dialed number is mapped to IP and then from remote side to againg IP to PSTN number. what setup actually we have to made.
Is there any online helpful material

Depnds on the equipment that you have.
On a quintum, PSTN to VOIP is done trought Static Routes.
VOIP to PSTN is done setting up PSTNTG1. or PBXTG1
If you are working on a cisco ,they are called dial peers VOIP (From a port to VOIP), or dial peers POTS (from voip to a port).
Very basic setup on both equipments, you basically tie together one or more I.P. ‘s and phone numbers.

But as u can see ,in the DNS server domain names are resolved for required IP from root servers,
But how PSTN number is mapped to an IP address in IP cloud so that it could reach to its destination and vice versa.
