u-law -> linear PCM -> u-law

    hello,

    I am gettin u-law, PCM data. Convert the data into linear PCM (i have found functions in Internet) and then convert to u-law back again.

    To my surprise, the data after this double conversion does not match the initial data:(

    I suspected the data would be the same as original.

    What could be the reason?
