no.. the ports are not programmable. If you plug a phone into the port of the G4 nothing will happen. If you plug a phone line into the port on a P4 it will blow up that channel. You need an FXS at the second location to talk to the FXS at the first one.
I understand that P4 and G4 ports are not programmable but what does this mean

I have P4 in remote client , I have a G4 and P4 in my house. How should I connect these so I can use fxo of G4 to call home and then call destination , at the same time when at home call using phone P4.
