Marv … I have done it using QTelNet’s gear. Using the G711 Codec will use up aprrox 120K including overhead. When you use the silence suppression we have dropped that to close to 25-30% less and the quality is still very impressive. I dont know about A800 sorry, but can state QTelNet will work nicely.
About packet saver.
Be aware, only works if you have several calls from one quintum to another, both of them with packetsaver option enabled.
If you get eight calls to eight diferent providers or gateways, there is no savings.
Same if you send calls to any non-quintum provider.
The only thing that packetsaver does is combining the overhead of several calls into a unique overhead.
