VoiceOver IP with ANSWERING SERVICE

    does anyone know of a consumer application (not dissimilar from net2phone etc), for voice over IP that has an answering service.

    So as to leave a message for a caller and allow them the opportunity to leave a message..

    seems easy right? cant find it…

    It’s fairly new but it looks like it might be what you’re looking for.

    http://www.openh323.org has a couple of nice (and free!)applications like this along with their H.323 gatekeeper product. OpenAM (Answering Machine), OpenIVR (Interactive Voice Response)

    I guess the question is whether you want to use H.323 or SIP signaling.
