    Hi

Is anyone here familiar with VegaStream? I need some hand on it.

And does anyone have the front-end software for Cisco configuration that you wouldn’t mind sharing?

    hi to all

i have a quintum a400 and would like to configure the hop-off pbx feature of it. if anyone can help me understand the parameters involve and the process it undergoes. thank you very much.

The hopoff feature is very easy to setup.

It does have two fields and components

    1) The lampattern the string of digits that the quintum will be looking for, coming via I.P.
Most times is the country code, area code and exchange of the call, but really could be anything.

    config#
    config# pstntg 1
    config pstntg 1#lampattern 1 1713*
    config pstntg 1#lampattern 2 281*

With these two commands you are telling the Quintum to be looking for calls that start with the digits 1713 and any number following, or calls to 1281 and any digits after that.

This is the first part, the “trap ” to get the calls out of the VOIP world to the PSTN ports.

Now , the “1713” and “1281” get deleted on the proccess, and you need to replace that part with something else.

    config#
    config pstntg 1#
    config pstntg 1#lamreplace 1 9713
    config pstntg 1#lamreplace 2 9281

With these command, you are instructing the quintum to receive calls to 1281, delete the “1281” and replace that deleted part with “9281”.
Rememeber than on the US we need to send the are code even on local calls (10 digit dialing always, most places)

Hope that this info helps, or at least get you scientifically confused.

If you need help drop me a message

    Hi noname

thanks for the response i really appreciated it very much. by the way i live in the phillipines and we have a company at the US. they would like to call either from Philippines to US and vice versa.

we have a country code of 63 and area code of 045 while in the US the country code is 1 and the area code is 316.

also the US side wants to call using the VOIP routing the call to a cellphone here in the Philippines

would it be like this way:

    config#
    config# pstntg 1
    config pstntg 1#lampattern 1 63045*

    is the above command right?

by the way the VOIP always check the dialled number if it is in the E.164 format right? the number contains the country code + area code + local number, my question is the format of a cellphone number in our country is in the form of 0-9**-***-****, how may i be able to implement the hop-off on this one?…would it be also in the format as of the above command? thanks again…

    regards

    hi to all,

i would like also to know how would you setup a quintum voip box to accept calls coming from the pstn line (ex. landline or cellphone) so that it could access another voip box on another location?

what are the underlying processes involve. any comment or suggestion would be highly appreciated. thank you very much.

    regards

This is the complete sequence to program the hop-off numbers on the Quintum A400 or A800:

    Quintum:xxxxxxxx-01>
    Quintum:xxxxxxxx-01> config
    config# pstntg 1
    config pstntg 1# lampattern 1 1713
    config pstntg 1# lampattern 2 1281
    config pstntg 1# lampattern 3 1832
    config pstntg 1# lampattern 4 1800
    config pstntg 1# lampattern 5 1888
    config pstntg 1# lamreplace 1 9713
    config pstntg 1# lamreplace 2 9281
    config pstntg 1# lamreplace 3 9832
    config pstntg 1# lamreplace 4 91800
    config pstntg 1# lamreplace 5 91888
    config pstntg 1# exit
    config pstntg# exit
    config# submit
    config#

With these commads, I entered the hop-off for the area codes 713,281 and 832 in the USA.

Also I entered the codes to allow free calls 1800 and 1888 to pass trought my gateway.

    63 Country code
    63910 Mobil
    63912 Mobil
    63918 Mobil
    63919 Mobil
    63920 Mobil
    63921 Mobil
    6398 Mobil
    639 Mobil

You could program a lampattern of 63 only, and that will cath all the calls, to fix lines or cell phones.
Or could enter the details , and be very specific.

    Posible setups:

    In philipines:

    lampattern 1 6345 ( no cero)
lampattern 2 639 (to all cell)

    Lamreplace 1 (empty)
    Lamreplace 2 09

    In the USA:

    Lampattern 1 1316
    lampattern 2 1800
    lampattern 3 1888

    Lamreplace 1 316
    Lamreplace 2 1800
    Lamreplace 3 1888

Write to my e-mail if you need information.
