There are the same number of phisical ports on the A400 and A800.
On the A400, they are single ports, with only one phone line per plug.
On the A800, each plug have two phone lines . One is carried out on the green/red wires, the second line is carried out on the yellow/black pair.
Take the line that come out from the Quintum to a Rj-11 block. Connect via wires to two diferent phone lines that way.
Or buy one of those plastic splitters on any electronic stores that open up the lines in two diferent circuits.
27th December 2003 at 04:38 #23001ChidiGuestMy Quintum A800 RJ-11 supplied connectors have on one end:single connector and on the other end two connectors labelled ‘A’ and ‘B’. Where do these connect to? Does the PBX connection differ from the PSTN connection? Please help.

7th January 2004 at 06:14 #23004ImranGuestKumar, We are using cellsocket with quintum a400, so the same settings would be for tenor 800, the cellsocket gives voltage of only 24v against the required 48v to the tenor ports, so the voltage has to be adjusted in the tenor, ask your service provider to change that setting in the tenor

14th January 2004 at 19:32 #23010rezaGuesthello,
when i enter GateWay IP for tenor A800 it does not work . it is falling to a loop of reset and password command prompt doesn’t come. and when i clean the gateway and put that 0.0.0.0 it will work correct. what must I do? plz email me. thank u14th January 2004 at 19:50 #23011cypherdecodeGuestI have a Quintum A800, ASR is low because of too many “Cause Code 16” (Normal Call Clearing). The manual says “The cause indicates that the call is being cleared because one of the user has requested that the call be cleared.”
Anybody knows what’s causing this code to occur?
15th January 2004 at 05:58 #23012www.blue-lava.co.ukGuestHi Reza,
It is a common set up problem on Quintum that when you enter the IP information the machine then goes into a loop of rebooting.
This is because the subnet and the IP number you have chosen do not match up – this is often due to mis-keying the information (I know, I’ve done it myself more than once!).
To rectify the problem boot the Quintum with a console cable plugged in the front – then press [RETURN] when prompted. You will then be able to reset the parameters.
Hope this helps, if you need any further assistance please feel free to contact me at: mhitchcock@blue-lava.co.uk
Thanks,
Mat
