PC to Phone Service

    Hi there

    WE are working on the PC to Phone SErvice ..
    It will contains the follwing components:
    1) Dialer: (openphone)
    2) Gatekeeper: (openH323)
    3) Gateway:(Lucent EXS 2000)
    4) COdec: G.723.1, G.729a

    Let me know if somebody has better solution which is economical too.

    Faisal – what are doing about billing? Have you looked at Quintum?

    For billing we are developing our own software. actually we are working on a prepaid calling card solution also for one of our client in UK.

    anyways for gatekeeper i’am considering Quintum. what do you suggest? and what is the real advantage of hardware device over a software gatekeep like openH323 gatekeper?

    About Codec do u think G.723.1 or G.729 are ok for low bandwidth users? any further suggestions are welcome ..

    Dear Faisal and Dave,

    could you please tell me, how you use the G.729 Codec with the openphone.

    Please tell me in detail, or if you feel easy then help me in this regard, as I am also working on this. I do want to test openphone, as my research work requires this.

    Please help me in this regard.
