I have several 5300’s that use CAS signaling to our Ericsson AXE-10 switch. This setup appears to be causing improper answer/connect supervision in our call detail records. Our customers are seeing high ASR’s and low ALOCs, typical characteristics of false AS. We have tested our network and are confident that the problem lies between these two network
pieces. This problem seems particulalry acute on all calls that are “high and dry” (i.e.
calls that go to dead air).
I have read up on the Channel boxes that provide AS, but want to use that as a last alternative. Does anyone have experience with this type of setup? Does anyone have any help they can provide?
Thanks much…
