The problem is with the SIP phone.
I had a tech that was tryin gto test my route using a Cisco ATA phone.
He was operating thru a SIP proxy server.
It would not work.
Trying testing using a more traditional (h.323) gateway, first.
Then use a “traditional” gateway to test with SIP.17th June 2002 at 10:59 #20946Ashish DwivediGuesthi All,

8th October 2002 at 13:08 #20950MattGuestHi All,
I am having problems with AS5300’s conectted to an Ericson AXE-10 via 4 T-1’s. The DS0-Group is set to e&m-fgb DTMF. About 30% of my calls go “high and dry” but the AXE-10 sees the 5300’s signaling bits go “high” indicating Answer Supervision. Is this a signaling issue between the AXE-10 and the 5300 or has the call been answered and only a one way talk path established?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

I have a VOIP system with Cisco AS5300, and Carrier Access channel bank,
but this system dosnt support Answer supervision.
whats your solution,
Can I install a new script on router, or changing IOS for solve it?!10th December 2002 at 01:05 #20958TACGuestDump the CAC and replace it with a Pleiades P32MXI.
10th December 2002 at 01:19 #20959Mohammad SamanGuestAlternatively you might want to ask your Telco in Iran to open the signalling/timing procedures for answer supervision, they use AXE switches which are fully capable of that, for some reason the functionality is disabled in the Iranian PSTN
