Small VoIP project

    I am new to VoIP. I would like to do a small course project on it. Since I don’t have any hardware, I would like to do something pure software, but I should be able to test it. Anyone got any idea what kind of project I can do?

    How about some sort of simulation program. You could try and study the delay on Voice traffic when mixed with other applications.

    Won’t be easy, but the results would be very interesting.

    I feel you could also try with some shortest route identification between the source and destination in a VoIP network involving voice and data packets.
