SMS between GSM and CDMA

    Hi all, plz help me!!!

    Is it possible to perform the SMS between GSM and CDMA 2000 1x network?

    If yes, do we need any special hardware and software?

    Yes it is possible…

    Presently used in India with same systems – GSM & CDMA 1XRTT.

    But they have a special unit for protocal conversion in the SMSC of CDMA1X Network.

    We have elments such as SMSC which controls the SMS flow irrespective of CDMA and GSM

    there no need of any additional hardware.. all u have to do is make changes on the TCAP level ,in c7 links..

    yes its possible as what you add hardware you must renew the software,you must add the suitable hardware for gateway masc of gprs which folowwed by adding new hardware for bts in the site and thats depend on what the kind of gsm equipment you are using…
