    I have an ericsson RNC with two TMs of STM configured for ATM ports(in IMA mode) towards SGSN .
    i can see the port status as enabled for both the atm ports.. the person at SGSN says that one of my TM/ATM port is down,and i cannot see it here.
    How can I be certain that the ATM ports are working or not ? I am new to RNC , will anyone help please..

    what document can make me reasonably versed in RNC(Ericsson) ? to trace faults, for rectfication of faults what type of information do one need and where can they be found ?

    You need to look at the ALEX documentation set for your RNC version. Contact your local Ericsson office and they will check what information ca be released to you.

    The documentation set is quite extensive.
