Currently we have an OC3 that is provisioned into a 3 DS3’s from AT&T. The local loop provider does not do anything but provide transport (no local circuit ID’s). We use a CAC M23 MUX that keeps receiving Errored seconds. AT&T claims line levels are normalk however the manufacturer says this occurs if the line is hot. We placed a 6DB atenuator on the receive side of the circuit and the errors have gone away however we still receive false winks and call drops sporadicaly.
Any suggestions on what is causing this problem.
Sounds like you have 2 timing sources defined. One on the far end and your mux.
