calculation of number of ext. and trunk

    Hi,

    We are in the process of selecting a PABX for our new building, for around 1100 staff and the blocking rate is 0.01

    the only parameter which is not clear for me is the BHT : Busy Hour Traffic, how to calculate it to get the total number of trunk lines?

    hello,

    the BH Traffic = number of subscribers * average Erl per subscriber@bh.

    number of subscribers = 1,100 (subscribers = your staff, here)

    avg erl per sub@bh depends on :
    – the call duration and,
    – the average number of calls per subscriber at busy hour (as defined during your dimensioning phase)
