15th October 2003 at 11:11 #36563Mohamed AIT ALLAGuestINAP messages include InitialDP, Applycharging, etc..
IAM, ACM comes from ISUP protocol. fyi, ISUP is above MTP3 while INAP uses TCAP.15th October 2003 at 18:23 #36564ScotGuest* When IN Subscriber roms outside of HPLMN and During a LU does HLR Relays the info to SCF / not ?
17th October 2003 at 18:28 #36565Mohamed AIT-ALLAGuestIN for roaming is called CAMEL.
camel is an an enhancement to inap with mobility management messages.
there are 4 version of Camel. Camel 2 is the widely used. camel 3 is for 3G. camel 4 is sip-based.to answer ur question, where a roamer wants to use an IN service like prepaid HLR just loads to local Visited VLR the address of the Home SCP of the subscriber then visited VLR/MSC talkes direclty to home SCP.
if u need more info u can send ur messages to aitalla@yahoo.fr

11th November 2003 at 14:13 #36567JuliusGuestCould someone assist me to understand if a Subscriber with roaming capability in a particular FPLMN has established a call in his HPLMN and he is moving accross to the boarder with the FPLMN, will this call be maintained by means of Handover to the other Network where he can Roam or it will be terminated?
12th November 2003 at 00:56 #36568NguyenGuestHI Julius,
This is a big question about inter-PLMN handover and we have discussed early, but the answer was not found clearly. Plz refer to this thread:
http://www.erlang.com/forum/erlang/thread.htx?thread=651
Very happy to continue discuss with this matter. Plz contact me at vndnguyen@yahoo.com

13th November 2003 at 08:22 #36569Prabhakar vermaGuestJulius , i think i have the answer, the call would drop.. as the moment he crosses over to the other network area, the call has to be handed over from HPLMN BTS site to FPLMN BTS site.. which is not possible…hence the call would drop. The subscriber would have to do again a fresh location update so as to update the FPLMN VLR with its profile from the HPLMN HLR ,after which the call can be establish.
13th November 2003 at 12:52 #36570ScotGuestFPLMN ?
It should be VPLMN ?
Intrer PLMNN Handover is possible in case of the The Target and Present MSC Are having the Relationship called C-Located MSC.
But this is possible as per theory. But practically no information.
