CELL PCH state on RAN12 Huawei

    Hello,
    Please I need to know about impact to be considered when the CELL PCH is implemented in Huawei RAN12 3G network, actually we are only with CELL FACH and we need to know waht about the impact and considerations to be analized previousto this change

    Advantages:

    1-Decrease of RRC connection attempts
    2-Decrease of SPU (CPU) load of the RNC
    3-Prolonged battery life

    Disadvantages:

    1-Possibility of increase of state transition failure rate

    2-FACH congestion might increase

    3-PS call drops might increase

    Hello,

    I need to know what is the probability for a subscriber to reside in the FACH state and what is the probability for a subscriber to reside in the URA state? Can I obtain this probabilities expressed in erlangs?
