Sudden decrease in HO success

    Hi,

    I am working with NSN System.

    One of BSC HOSR rate was running with 97% on average. But suddenly during busy hour I found that the HOSR became as poor as 78%.

    I cross checked and found that, HO fails occured in intra Cell and also inter cell with in that BSC.

    Please advise me what type of error might have occured in BSC level resulting this type of degardation?

    hi,

    it is probably caused by congestion of the target cells. You can verify this by looking at
    HO Congestion % (which might be high during BH)
    and
    HO Execution % (which should be almost stable during the day)

    busy hour means high traffic and high utilization hence interference ….. i would advice to check the frequency plan
