SDCCH Drop due TCH Congestion in NOKIA

    Hello all,

    In NSN or other vendors as well,

    TCH Cong/block can cause SDCCH Drop?
    or SDCCH will be released as normal.

    What about Queuing & Directed retry? SDCCH drop can be decreased by these features if TCH COng cause SDCCH drop?

    Hello,

    There will be SD drop in case of TCH congestion.

    here is the formula you can calculate SD drop Without TCH congesiton :

    =(SDCCH_RADIO_FAIL+SDCCH_RF_OLD_HO+SDDCH_LAPD_FAIL+SDCCH_BTS_FAIL+SDCCH_USER_ACT+SDCCH_BCSU_RESET+SDCCH_NETWORK_ACT+SDCCH_ABIS_FAIL_CALL+SDCCH_ABIS_FAIL_CALL_OLD+SDCCH_A_IF_FAIL_OLD)

    / (SDCCH_HO_SEIZ+SDCCH_ASSIGN)

    Its sdr_4 formula in netact i guess and no other formula with ”due to tch cong”..

    whats the counter of SDCCH drop due to TCH cong?

    Because I thought that if the call in SDCCH phase and no free TCH channel, it will be released but which counter will work? SDCCH_Radio_Fail or Abis??
    or nothing? just release

    Add trx & shift the traffic on other site & check the no. of given sdcch o site

    I don’t think your approach is correct
    If no tch are free this will cause tch block, but all the procedure on sd channell is all done, so the sd will be simply released

    Sd drop is related to incapacity to complete the tch request channel , on sd channel. if the tch is not available this is not a sd problem
