need help in ericsson RBS 6102

    good day
    please i have a big problem in ericsson out door RBS 6102
    i can’t ping the DU locally in order to install script files
    i use LMT B port and pin 169.254.1.1 but no replay
    i use LMT A Port with A serial to LAN cable but i couldn’t type anything on hyper terminal
    i need help to find a way to connect to the DU
    or if there is a special cable

    Someone asked how to connect to RBS6102

    You need a special cable :

    – Position 2 (RJ 45) –> position 3 (DB9-serial)
    – Position 3 (RJ 45) –> position 2 (DB9-serial)
    – Position 6 (RJ 45) –> position 5 (DB9-serial)

    Other pins dont have to be connected

    the correct cable is:
    – Position 2 (RJ 45) –> position 3 (DB9-serial)
    – Position 3 (RJ 45) –> position 2 (DB9-serial)
    – Position 1 (RJ 45) –> position 5 (DB9-serial)

    then in DB9 Serial you must put 1 with 6 with 4 and 7 with 8

    This is the correct cable.

    There’s no need to connect any other pins on DB9. This RBS series uses only pin 2,3 and 5…on DB9 side. These are essential.
