TCH Assignment Failure

    Hi,

    I have a problem which is TCH Assignment failure & TCH drop become higher after TRX upgrade.
    Any idea why this happened and how to analysis the root cause? Also the solution. Is this cause by hardware?Thank in advance.

    thank for reply.
    we are using ALU and we have performed upgrading from 3 to 5 TRX due to congestion issues.Any idea?

    is this in all sites where you have gone from 3 to 5 trx

    only 1 site.We upgrade this site only on sector 2 & 3 from 3 to 5 TRX. we suspect TRX problem but the problem still persist after change TRX. We also check for new freq applied but it’s clean freq and freq hopping also enable at this site.

    If there are no issue with maio i.e.maio planing are good,then check the RF cables which you for expansion.There may be mino variation of VSWR.Also enable DTX and 4th maio put in low priority.

    Yes check trx connections with the cdu there may be wrong connections

    ok…we plan to change the RF cable & see how the outcome.beside that, if there any other plan that we can perform? i’m not sure whether this problem was cause by poor coverage at boundry area.What is parameter that i can analysis to confirm this?is it posibble if we increase RXLEV_ACCESS_MIN value?so the cells which having poor coverage can’t access this serving cell & avoid drop call.

    hi akuiser,

    in the alu system, you can get more details about your problem :
    – check the tch efficiency rate per trx
    – check the path balance avg per trx
    – check the idle band measurements per trx (if available)
    – check the dl rxlev avg & the ul rxlev avg per trx
    – check the timing adv avg per trx
    – check the noise calls due to abnormal FER per trx

    based on those indicators, you can know whether your problem is coverage related (when adding more trx, you add more combining losses, therefore decrease the dl coverage of your cell) ,or interference related, or hardware related.

    Hi akuiser,
    you didn’t answer to K.K.nath, what is your MAIO planning after upgrade to 5th TRX (if you use SFH). Check whether you use same MAIO for two TRXs from different sectors.
