Please let me know of we can put same LAC in different BSC. what happens if they are neighbor and non-neighbor. I have Huawei and Ericsson sites located in one city.BR/Ranjit

As per my knowledge, we can define same LAC in different BSCs, but those BSCs should be in same MSC.
Whats LAC? Location Area Identy
I know we put lack in the cell, so there might be different LAC in the same BSC also there might be the same LAC in cell in different BSC
comments allowed!!same lac in different BSC is not terrible, you just have got an paging by that lac not only in 1 bsc, just in all, were hi is consist. That lead only to increase signalling load to controllers. that’s all
