Uplink interference on UMTS cell

    Hi,

    Is there any measure to see uplink interference on UMTS cell?
    Just like high ICM band on 2G cells

    Yes,
    It is possible.when Uplink RTWP>ifCong(uplink congestion threshold) +iFoffset for IFhyst time period the uplinkcongestion value will be triggered.

    Hello Indrani,

    Thanks for the reply. but I was rather asking about the external interference. I agree with your comment on UL interference admission limit but is there any measrue to know whether this interference is because of external source? or because of hardware problem?

    Do a plot of the RSSI and traffic and see if the RSSI remain constant during the idle traffic time like at night, it is hardware related .
