    Hi all,

Do you know how to reduce CP load for the MSC in case it reaches a high value? I have some solution:

    – turn off Authentication function
    – turn off IMEI Checking
    – turn off TMSI Reallocation
    – increase Implicit Detach Timer
    – turn off some Statistic function
    – block some traffic/signalling route
    – clear subscriber data, that powered-off for more than 24h, in VLR

If you have other idea/opinion, please comment. Thanks a lot.

    hi,

i don’t have other ideas, but just one thing :
    – increase Implicit Detach Timer
–> it should be “decrease”, so that MS are detached earlier and they don’t overload the VLR database, isn’t it ?
When you change Detach Timer & Purge Timer, don’t forget to tune the T3212 accordingly (bss parameter)

    regards

    Hi Pix,

If you decrease that timer, MSC more frequently scan the database so its CP load will be higher. That’s why it should be increase that timer.

    Any idea else?
