Inter BSC Issue

    Dear,

    I have problem with Inter BSC Handover in Huawei Equiptment. Handover from A cell to B cell that located in different BSC (Same MSC) cannot be performed. check the counter and Trace A Interface the problem due to Handover Required reject – Protocol error between BSS and MSC.
    anyone know about this error message? and how to troubleshoot this problem?

    Hello 54M,

    You would probably need to check, in the MSC, the definitions of :
    1/ the adjacency relationship
    2/ the neighbour cell
    3/ the neighbour LAC

    If you felt like this have been done already, then do it again 🙂 All inter-BSC problems are due to a misconf in the MSC.
