Hi,
Can Anyone please give reasons regarding why BCCH is in TS0 always..
TNSGuest
Hm,
I don’t know, but the mobiles are always looking for it on TS0 🙂
It’s written in the standards: BCCH – on TS0 and that’s it…

Does this relate to the TDMA structure..? Please suggest…
Why is BCCH on TS0
TNSGuest
Hi,
this is the easy way for every one.
To find a BCCH freq, to synchronize to the beginning of the TDMA and to extract all info needed from TS0.
Why TS0 is choosen instead ot TS7 or TS5 I don’t know…
When something happen to MS and it loose network, this mobile knows what to do – find BCCH freq from its network, tune to TS0 and all needed is there…
