Hi Experts,
1)How can we defive the UTILIZATION of the cell??
2)We can see utilization over 100% in cell’s.
i.e 150 %, 180% means over 100%.
Till 100% its understood that the all TCH slots are busy.
What if above 100??Hi ali baba,
perhaps by “utilization”, they mean “load”.
in this case :
tch utilization = tch traffic (erl) / cell capacity (erl)capacity depends on erlang B law.
in this case, the traffic can exceed the capacity, leading to > 100% values.

150 and 180% very well means that yuo are supposed to expand your TRX or plan a new Cell.

Th utilization is calulated on a basis taking the GOS=2%. And when it shows utlzn more than 100% means the GOS is been reduced from 2%.
Hence u will have quality issues.

Are you sure when utilisation increases ,the GOS decreases??Please rethink.
