hi;
i am working with Er network; i have a problem of low availability in a particular site, in fact the availability is balancing between 60% and 72? i cannot locate excactly the reason of such pb..could it be related to the frequency hopping?if yes how??
thankx a lot.Availability is linked to the number of TRX that are up divided by the total number of TRX installed in the BTS.
8 / 10 = 80% availability

i meant availabilty per sector, my colleague told me that it is a problem of TRU configuration???!!!!
this TRU is usually with low availability
i don’t know if i describe well the pb..availability=nb of available TCH/nb of configured TCH

As in your first statement, “availability is balancing between 60% and 72”, is BTS Power saving ON for your respective BSC and this cell?
Run RLSVP:cell=CELLID; to check whether BTSPS is ON for the cell.

sorry there no command callad RLSVP but RLSUP which is not what i am looking for..No RLSVP means that your SW release is less than 07B hence BTSPS is not supported. So fluctuations in availability are genuine.

Working with the BSC there is no RLSVP, even in Alex i didn’t find such command, but RLSUP related to UMTS..

In Alex, you are looking for this command in a previous version library. As I said this feature is only supported after R07B.
