hi all, while swaping an existing Siemens SGSN to the new One (Nokia SGSN), we faced a big number of paging retry and consequently paging success rate decreased. within our investigation parameter alignmenet was done and different Timers were changed but no improvment.
are the any specific Timers to change? any other way to investigate?
Any suggestions plz?
hi peter, we observed the same in our recent swap of Siemens SGSN with Nokia, what we observed was significatn increase in signalling due to increased pagings, then after disabling network initiated detach timer quite visible improvment was observed…
thanks fed, what is the exact parameter for “disabling network initiated detach timer ” and could i have more details about rhis procedure?
no improvment after this parameter disabling and PS paging is still high for the BSCs under the new SGSN? any other suggestions or recommendations plz
