I have studied about GSM 16kbps speech and signaling in RSL (at Abis interface). Actually sometimes we have few channels in E1 dedicated for GSM speech 16kbps while others are reserved for 64kbps PCM speech. I have studied about GSM 16kbps speech signaling using RSL. What about the signaling of 64kbps PCM speech channels. Is it in 16th channel? Does it follow any standard? Required for my thesis

64kb/s pcm speech channels are seen outside of the GSM BSS, ie in the core network and the PSTN.
Signalling is done on the 16th channel, using SS7 protocol.
