    I have just completed my telecom eng frm mumbai university and searching for technical job in telecom sector.can anyone please guide me with wat to strt up with. can nyone help me out??

    find the job first, that’s the start. Probably you’ll have interview, don’t say you don’t know answers. Your knowledge in university is a good start.

    Telecom engineer can work in many fields… as far as i know, the 1st step is to steer into the most popular radio access technology (3G).

    On the other hand, you could decide to wok in the core network (IMS, Applications, Media Gateways, MSC, etc)

    If you go in R.A.T, then either:
    – network design
    – network architecture
    – equipment configuration / maintenance / installation
    – network planning
    – radio optimization
    – radio qos monitoring

    … that’s all i can think of..

    If you want to be in SW then

    – protocol stack (Signaling/User Plane for 2G/3G)
    – platform (OS, open source)

    are the options.
