    Hello,
    What are the criteria for an SDCCH HO in GSM?
    Can it have a good impact on reducing SDCCH drop or just in assign SD?

    SDCCH HO should mostly reduce SDCCH DROP, if it was high in the first place. If it was low, then it could increase it 🙂

    Indirectly, if there are less SDCCH drops, it means the SDCCH phases are ended faster (with a HO, instead of a drop), then the resources are available faster. Therefore you might see lower congestion.

    Hi,
    I am seeing too many SDCCH drops in my network with hardly any SDCCH congestion. Can you suggest where to start looking for?

    Poor coverage
    Sigalling boards failure in the BSC or in the BTS
