While activating DTX in DL , we have a ALU parameter called Forbid_DTX_NH_BCCH_F and which description is :
Forbid use of DL DTX on non hopping TCH of the BCCH TRX
What’s the meaning of that?
What’s the difference if it’s ENABLED/DISABLED?
For instance, in our network, BBH is activated. Is there a difference if BBH is desactivated???
Hi DL DTX is not recommeded on BCCH TRX because this TRX continuously transmits BCCH-signalling info also including SDCCH info.
If you go through Hyper frames and superframes-you will find that BCCH Tsl0 uses 51TDMA frame info in single burst.
Calculate the Time period required to transmit this long burst and You will find that the this time is longer than the DTX interval(480ms).So if DTX is enabled on BCCH TRX,signalling itself get lost, then how the network will work????
The definition is applied on non hopping TCH of the BCCH TRX.As we have BBH activated, thus Those TS TCH of the BCCH TRX are hoppinh so that this parameter has no effect whatever disabled/Enabled?
No??
