There’s a BSS parameter in ALU named RE (for call establishment)wich takes 2 values : ALLOWED and NOT ALLOWED
The default value is NOT ALLOWED
What do me mean by call re establishment?(after SD drop or what) and what’s the impact if we allow it?
Thanks a lot in advance
I forgot the details, the call can be reestablished only if a certain type of failure arises. I think it’s a layer 2 failure ? Problem is that L2 failure leads to a L3 failure, and therefore the MS will not reestablish.
But anyway, you can just try to enable it and see what is the impact. The number of call reestablishments are counted as MC02x.
There is probably a parameter in the MSC that should be enabled too. Anyway, I remember it doesn’t help at all…
I’m not 100% sure of my explanations, but you can check Call Reestablishment in 3GPP. (I’ll find the doc for you later)
