LU fail from GSM to UMTS network

    Hi,
    what is the location update failure reason from 2G to UMTS? I found that the MS previous LAC was of 2G network. When it enters a 3G network it requests for location update.And the LU was rejected with cause “no suitable cell available”.

    Some 1 can please explain this?

    Dear, RNP2!
    See subscription restriction in HLR. It is subscription dependent cause (any regional zone or RAT restrictions for that MS).
