mapinfo

    Hello
    If i have table of sites with their coordinate and i want to find the distance between each site through mapinfo in SQL how can i do it .
    Can you please help

    hi derik
    first plot these coordinates in mapinfo than goto Tools>Tools Manager.

    And then select the distance calculator by clicking under Load and Unload then press ok.

    after that again goto tools and run distance calculator..

    and put your inputs in distance caculator dialog box and click on calculate distance.

    I think This depend on map info version also, I am using 8.5 version and this supports this feature.

    Hi,
    under ‘Tools-Tool Manager’ find ‘Distance Calculator’ and check ‘Loaded’ and ‘Autoload’ (by default they should be checked and allready loaded). After that in the Main Toolbox you should see an icon with the symbol of measure. Click on that icon, draw a line between two sites and read the distance. If you don’t see ‘Main Toolbox’ than go to ‘Options-Toolbars…’, find ‘Main’ and check ‘Show’.

    If i want to add a layer from google earth snap shoot to site data base how can i do mapinfo to show the sites and snap shoot.
