    Can any body provide some information on the probable reasons for the call drop in 3G WCDMA.

    This is very wide question. I’m sure that radio coverage is very common reason, but of course there many other reasons as well.

    SC Collision.
    Pilot pollusion
    Missing Neighbour,
    No Resource available (Due to congestion on target cell),
    Hardware issue.
    Delayed Handover,
    Improper Synchronization.

    based on my experience drop call occur if there is a missing neighbor and the site need to split sector due to congestion.

    Call drop can be because of poor coverage(TP value is high):-

    1. TP Value is high.

    2. Congestion on target Cell

    3. Missing Neighbor.

    4.INSYNCID & OUTSYNCID mismatch

    5. Inter frequency missing neighbor.

    6.Due to alarm & Hardware issue

    7.Pilot pollution

    8. Scribbling code collision

    Probably for drop there are 3 reasons
    1.SoHo
    2.neighbor
    3.UlSynch
    4.Drop due to others-
    1.Pilot Pollution
    2.hardware/Software issue
    3.SC collision
    4.issue in nearby site
    5.Nodesynch Phase Drift alarm
    6.MP Load /Dc Load /Cc Load

    heath check is required to be done earlier .

    Good Morning
    Im kallo, working on ZTE equipement. I have some difficult to improve 3G call drop CS domain.

    I have check and found that the main 3G CS Call drop reasons are:
    1-Other reason
    2-RAB Release
    3-Soft Handover/ Hard handover
    4-Other procedure (very high)
    5-Call re-estabilshment.

    For Call drop (Voice, Data, etc..) I would recommend a Network audit.
    Areas to focus on:-

    – Activated Network Features (basic / optional)
    – Resource Usage
    – Licenses
    – Traffic Profile / Dimensioning
    – Policy Settings
    – Quality of Service
    – RF setup (and possible optimisation)
    – Stability of the Transmission Network (MPLS-TE, SDH, etc..)

    I work on Ericsson 3G equipment (DUW) I have a lot of drop call in CS and PS_RAB.

    What is the parameter of the power to decrease the power of the cell so as not to go very far finally to avoid the degradation of the signal.

    What is the maximum distance in 3G cell must cover to prevent its degradation and avoid congestion.

    What are the most commonly used power settings
