what is the reason of down link power control not working.
I found a cell where down link power control is not working. BTS is always transmitting the maximum power for the Hopping carriers.
Paramters have been checked and Ok.
What can be the other reason???any one face that problem?
Have you check enable power control in RNC stting
yes, that parameter is enabled. I have checked it.
All the parameters are okay for that cell and are in consistant with other cells where power control is working.
So what are the others reason which is making downlink power control not working for that cell??

Well, it’s probably a software bug ! Have you tried resetting the cell ?
You’re saying it yourself : Everything is the same as other cells, yet it’s not working. So it can only be a bug 🙂
Just as a reminder, DL PC cannot work on the 1st TRX of the cell (or more precisely, all timeslots carried on the BCCH frequency)

Few cells(all these cells are recently came on air) have this problem.
I was talking abt the hopping(non-BCCH) TRX.

Nothing. Except a bug…
Perhaps, you can take a double look at the parameters, are you really sure they are all identical ?
