automatic barring

    Hi All,

    I would like to barred some cells which have got TCH Load = 100% on busy hour and having bad handover KPI due to congestion. I don’t know how access class are defined in Alcatel ( ACC0 to ACC15) and how the cell will become after enabling the parameter ‘ Automatic AC barring on TCH load’.

    Can anyone help me???

    I forgot about how the classes are handled, but i’ll check it out (one day..). But i remember my conclusion: “useless feature”.

    So don’t get your hopes too high about the AC barring, because it will probably not help regarding your problem…

    HI, ATTO.

    Alcatel BSS has a powerfull arsenal to fight traffic overload:

    HR
    Directed Retry;
    Forced DR – cause 20;
    Fast traffic HO – cause 28;
    and the mighty Traffic HO – cause 23…

    Are all activated…?

    I never used Automatic Barring but cause 23 perfect will decrease the HO attempts…
