    Can someone help?

    I need to know if the TRAU unit on the G2 BSC was incorporated into the BSC or was it a separate unit?

    it is a separated unit, located in the transcoder equipment. The transcoder is located between the MSC and several BSC.
    In order to save transmission costs, the TC is located nearby the MSC.
