Dears I am experiencing a problems as such High SDCCH drops in some coastal sites!!
SDCCH Mean holding time is long
SDCCH Assigment fail rate is 0%
SDCCH Abis fail is high > 20%
SDCCH Radio fail is high > 20%What could be the reason,
My Equipment is NSN our transmission system is Huwawi!!22nd December 2008 at 15:51 #55114PixGuestAbis fail is really high… i don’t know Huawei equipment, but usually if there is an Abis failure, then it is the first thing to fix. Only when all your transmission resources are fine can you start optimize your Radio.
Contact your transmission engineers, ask them to fix the Abis and then check again the SDCCH drop.
22nd December 2008 at 17:22 #55115ATTOGuestI don’t know this KPI but if u’ve got SDCCH Abis fail is high > 20%
it tells u that u need to check transmission equipments. U should have some alarms that can tell u how high is BER.As Pix say, check ur Abis before optimizing ur sites.
23rd December 2008 at 08:17 #55116TouficGuestThe amazing thing is that our transmission Engineer say that there is no problem!!!
though I suspect it is because of the Clock, which mean there is a problem in the synchronization!!!Cheers,
T23rd December 2008 at 15:43 #55117ATTOGuestHi,
U need to check by yourself ,check with alarms.
What is the config of your sites? 1 , 2 or 3 sectors do u have?
Because if u’ve got problems in all ur sectors it means that ur Abis need really checkings.23rd December 2008 at 20:06 #55118EvgenGuestToufic, in last time we also survey same problem on Ultrasites with BTS SW5.0 CD3.0. Please try find TRX with low MHT (2-3 sec.) on this cell and change corresponding BB2 card. As secondary reason – need made extention for LAPD links from 16kbps to 32 (strongly recomended Nokia if AMR use on cell). Gud luck.
